The Francis Crick Institute at 1 Midland Road, London NW1 1AT, sits right next to St Pancras station. Around 1,500 people work there, and plenty more come for meetings, events and the public exhibition. If you're looking for somewhere to eat nearby that isn't a station chain, Fiena, our family-run Italian cafe, bar and restaurant, is about 700 metres away at 4 Medway Court, Judd Street, London WC1H 9QX.
The Crick is a biomedical research centre that opened in 2016. It's named after Francis Crick, who co-discovered the structure of DNA and shared the 1962 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. It's a partnership between Cancer Research UK, Imperial College London, King's College London, the Medical Research Council, UCL and the Wellcome Trust. Outside the main entrance stands Paradigm, a 14-metre weathered-steel sculpture by Conrad Shawcross. The building also has a public exhibition space and a cafe; check the Crick's visit page for opening times.
It's around 9 to 10 minutes on foot. From the Crick, walk down Midland Road, between the British Library and St Pancras, to Euston Road. Cross over, head east for a moment, then turn right into Judd Street beside Camden Town Hall. Carry on down the street and you'll find us at Medway Court.
We open at 08:00 every day, and breakfast is served until 14:00. A coffee and a Classic Benedict, a breakfast bap or a granola bowl sets you up for the day. The full list is on our breakfast menu, and our post on breakfast meetings near King's Cross has tips for meeting someone over coffee.
From midday the main menu runs all day: salads such as the chicken or salmon Caesar, pasta like spaghetti carbonara and Linguine Fiena, risotto, pizza, grills and fish. If you're short on time, tell your server when you order. Aidan's review: Amazing, food was delicious service was quick

The bar is open from 10:30, so it's easy to come straight over when the day is done. Spritzes, Negronis and espresso martinis are on the drinks menu, along with Italian wine, Moretti on draught and Peroni. Our post on after-work dinner near King's Cross has more ideas.
Tables for up to eight can be booked online. For bigger groups, leaving dos or a lab celebration, please get in touch: the full restaurant or sections of it can be reserved for private events, drinks parties, birthdays and corporate evenings. Our group menu and our post on group dining have the details.
