The streets around Great Ormond Street are busy all day with hospital staff, families and visitors, and sometimes what you need most is a proper sit-down meal and a change of scene for an hour. Fiena, our family-run Italian cafe, bar and restaurant, is a short walk north at 4 Medway Court, Judd Street, London WC1H 9QX, on a quiet residential street between Bloomsbury and King's Cross.
From Great Ormond Street, head north through Brunswick Square and up Hunter Street, which runs straight into Judd Street. You'll find us at Medway Court, before you reach Euston Road. If you're coming from King's Cross St Pancras instead, it's a few minutes' walk south.
We open at 08:00 every day. Breakfast runs until 14:00, and the full main menu starts at midday and carries on until close, so there's no gap in the afternoon. That helps when your day doesn't follow a timetable.
If you work for the NHS, show your valid ID and you'll get 10% off, every day. Students get the same. There's more in our post on the NHS and student discount.
When it's been a long day, the comforting dishes tend to win: spaghetti carbonara, Linguine Fiena with chicken, mushrooms and cream, a lasagna made with fresh pasta and slow-cooked beef ragù, or a Margherita pizza. Anastasia came straight from King's Cross one December evening: So delicious and comforting, literally jumped on food.

In the morning, the breakfast menu has everything from an English breakfast to eggs Benedict, with fresh juices and Italian coffee. Martin wrote after a breakfast with us: The staff were great, attentive knowledgeable and helpful

Families are very welcome. Celia, who came back twice in one week, called us very family friendly
(Celia F., Google review). Our guide to family-friendly dining at Fiena has more on what children tend to enjoy here.
Whenever you need a break, we're just up the road. Book a table or walk in at 4 Medway Court, Judd Street.
